VENUES PATA Days 2018 will take place in two venues: - Venue 1: Possidi Holidays Resort & Suites Hotel (oral sessions and lunch) - Venue 2: AUTh University Camping (poster sessions and dinner) There will be a shuttle bus connecting these two venues. ORAL PRESENTATIONS The allocated time for oral presentations will be 15 minutes in total. Presenters will have access to a PC-compatible (no Mac) laptop with LCD projector. Please, bring your PowerPoint presentation to the meeting on a flash drive to load on the in-room laptop. You will not be able to use your own laptop for your presentation. You can load your presentation on the conference laptop before the first session, or during the breaks preceding your presentation. A support staff member will be in the room to assist with the loading. POSTER PRESENTATIONS For each poster, individual freestanding display boards will be allocated. The preferred poster size is A0 (1189x841 mm) in portrait mode (i.e. height larger than width). Posters can be hanged to the respective boards any time after the oral sessions. Important: as is customary in PATA Days workshops, presenters are required to give a brief presentation of their poster (no more than 5 minutes) to the participants. This short presentation will take place in front of their respective posters. FIELD TRIPS Field trip 1 (June 24): The assembly point is in front of the Vassiliko Theater in Thessaloniki at 08:45. The bus will depart at 09:00 and the estimated arrival time to Possidi is 17:00. Field trip 2 (June 29) will depart from Possidi at 08:00. The estimated arrival time to Thessaloniki is 19:00. Please visit https://www.patadays2018.org/field-trips.html for details on the routes, the stops and the departure/arrival points. Lunches will be offered in both field trips. Important: if there are any participants that wish to be picked up from or dropped at the airport in the morning of June 24 or in the afternoon of June 29 respectively, they are kindly requested to contact us with the flight details to check if it is feasible. MEALS Lunches and dinners are included in the registration fees and they will be offered at the Hotel and Camping respectively. ICE-BREAKING PARTY An ice-breaking party will take place on the evening of June 24, at Pohonda Beach Bar, which is located between AUTh University Camping and Possidi village. AUTh UNIVERSITY CAMPING ACCOMMODATION Participants who have booked their accommodation at the AUTh University Camping houses are kindly reminded that while bedsheets will be provided, they will have to bring their own towels. A sleeping bag may also be useful for cooler nights. SUMMER SCHOOL PARTICIPANTS The Summer School will take place in AUTh University camping. If you are looking for affordable accommodation for PATA Days 2018, you may want to consider staying at the University campground, one of the two venues of the meeting. Please note that the number of houses available is limited, so it is advisable to book as early as possible.
